Empress Crown

It is a type of tooth-colored crown that blends seamlessly with your smile. It is done in a dental laboratory with a two-layer system. The interior is made of ceramic and has a superficial glass layer on top. It is possible to achieve important natural results as it has an excellent level of light transmittance.

Where is it applied?

It is used mostly for aesthetic purposes. Therefore, it is preferred in anterior teeth. However, it is not recommended for molars because the bite force of these teeth is much harder than the front. Zirconium crowns are more suitable for molars.

The Crowning Process

1-Examination and Preparation of the Tooth

First, the dentist will start with a dental exam to check the condition of your tooth and see if it is a good candidate for a veneer. If the tooth is broken, damaged or decayed, the dentist will remove the damaged areas and prepare the tooth for veneer. Then, the necessary shaving will be done gently so that the crown can slide over your natural tooth.

2-Impressions and Temporary CrownThe dentist will take an impression of your teeth and send it to the lab to manufacture your custom-made crown. A temporary crown will then be attached, which will be easily removed when the patient returns to place the bespoke crown.

3-Permanent Assembly

When your veneer is ready, you will return to the dentist to remove the temporary crown and replace it with a permanent veneer. Then, necessary adjustments will be made to ensure your comfort.
